Paradise goes into liquidation
Parent firm of Paradise Computers ceases trading after creditor meeting
Paradise Holdings Ltd, the parent company of defunct Borehamwood-based VAR Paradise Computers, has ceased trading following a meeting of creditors last week.
Accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward hosted the meeting, where it was decided that the firm, along with another subsidiary, SureIT UK Ltd, should go into voluntary liquidation.
A representative for BDO Stoy Hayward told CRN: "Any outstanding creditors should contact BDO, which is also managing the administration of [Paradise Holdings?] subsidiary companies."
Eddie Pacey, director of credit services at Bell Microproducts Europe - which recently threatened the firm with legal proceedings if its debt was not settled within a week - said he didn't hold out much hope. "I don't think any creditors will get any money back after this," he said.
Paradise Computers went into administration shortly after receiving a writ for UK trademark infringements from Hewlett-Packard. The firm had debts of £6m.
