Gradwell hungry for more VARs

VoIP provider set to recruit to boost its channel

Voice over IP (VoIP) provider Gradwell is looking to swell reseller ranks and increase indirect business.

VARs can white label the Gradwell offering, and they will be provided with a one-day training course to fast track resellers into VoIP sales.

Peter Gradwell, managing director of Gradwell, said: “We have 20 resellers, but we would like to get 100. We are after small IT consultancy firms and telecoms dealers. Ninety per cent of our sales are direct, with 10 per cent done through the channel. We would like to even this out over the next 18 months.”

Gradwell added that VARs can add value through VoIP installation and set-up. Its current resellers bundle broadband, consulting and VoIP into one service.

“Our price compares very well with competitors, many of which require a three-day training course before you even become familiar with the product,” he claimed.

Scott Dobson, managing director at VoIP distributor Vcomm, said: “Gradwell does a basic IP-centric platform for SMEs. But if resellers look at other platforms they will see Gradwell has a very limited service. It will struggle to get that many VARs.”
