Brocade looks to recruit for One strategy
Vendor's new networking ethos comes with a raft of products, specialisations and services
Paul Phillips: we are talking to companies that are interested in where our vision will take them
Brocade is asking partners to embrace its newly unveiled open standards networking architecture strategy.
The Brocade One initiative was unveiled this month, with the aim of promoting open standards principles to ensure “radically simplified network architectures”. Key strands include a commitment to help end users build on their existing multi-vendor IT estates, rather than propagating a proprietary, “rip-and-replace” approach.
Paul Phillips, regional director for the UK and Ireland, said: “This is about virtualisation, convergence and helping customers move to a cloud environment as easily as possible.”
Backing the strategy will be a range of new products, including a converged
fabric switch, operating system and management tool. These will be complemented by converged fabric consulting, offered by Brocade Global Services. A partner specialisation will also be built around the products.
“We are talking to companies that are interested in where our vision will take them,” said Phillips.
