Web-to-host connectivity specialist JSB Software Technologies aims to convince resellers to move over to the application service provider (ASP) market with the launch of its product, Multiview Catalyst.

JSB managing director Nick Outteridge said the vendor has begun talking to its 300 resellers about opportunities in the ASP market. He insisted that Multiview Catalyst is ideal for ASPs because it delivers Unix applications to customer web browsers, without the need for pre-installed client software. The product also centralises administration and licensing of user rights and remote sessions, he said.

"All of JSB's partners know there is more than one way to skin a cat. A customer who wants to leverage Unix applications on the web can now be offered several options in order to reach that goal," he said.

Every JSB partner is "looking at the ASP market as another avenue for service revenue".

JSB expects to offer flexible rental licensing and connect time to make it easier for ASPs to use the product later in the year. Multiview Catalyst will ship on 22 February.
