Minx sets the Cisco Gold standard

VAR claims to be the first of the vendor's partners to have achieved three of four new specialisation certifications

VAR Minx has become the first Cisco Gold Partner to achieve three of the four new specialisation certifications, the firm has claimed.

The Cisco-focused VAR has achieved the three Cisco Advanced Specialisations, introduced by the networking giant earlier this year (CRN, 13 March), in Advanced Security, Advanced Wireless LAN and Advanced Routing and Switching.

John Pepper, managing director of Minx, told CRN that the VAR plans to gain the fourth specialisation in Advanced Unified Communications by the end of the year.

“Gold partners have to hold all four accreditations by their individual audit date,” he said. “It takes a lot of effort to train our engineers, but we are committed to the programme.”

Pepper said it might take other Gold partners longer to get accredited because they will achieve it only nearer the final audit deadline, depending on when the firm got credited.
