Cisco takes Advantage

Vendor offering rebates to partners that encourage customers to upgrade their networks

Cisco is offering channel sweeteners including rebates and marketing support to active resellers that encourage end-users to upgrade their networks.

The Foundation Advantage Programme provides new incentives for customers to upgrade their networks and offers rebates and marketing tools for channel partners that perform the upgrades.

Cisco has claimed the programme will help customers get the most out of their IP-based investments.

Foundation Advantage also assists Cisco partners with customer upgrades by continuing the Cisco Trade-In Accelerator Program (TAP), introduced earlier this year.

It now allows Cisco channel partners to earn higher margins via back-end rebates for upgrading customers and trading in their older Cisco and competitor equipment.

Edison Peres, vice president, technology sales and programs, world wide channels at Cisco, said: "The network has become integral to the business so 'just good enough' networks put customers at a competitive disadvantage.

"To take advantage of all the new capabilities of today's networking technologies, organisations need the proper infrastructure," he added.
