Logitech is hitting the trade with Scanmania and Snappy-mania instore days in support of its latest batch of products.
In addition to free-standing video units extolling the virtues of the latest six-strong range, Logitech is inviting punters to bring holiday snaps and video tapes into stores where they'll be turned into digital images.
Retailing for u199.99 Snappy grabs video images and comes with photo editing and morphing software. The Pagescan Colour Pro is priced at u319.99 and scans text as well as 35mm prints.
Other products include the handheld Scanman Color 2000 which carries a u119.99 RRP, a Cordless Mouseman Pro for u59.99, a u69.99 Surfman Cordless Internet Controller and a joystick.
Logitech has started brand advertising in the Times Interface as well as in BA inflight magazines.
Specific product ads are due to run in the lifestyle PC press which will flag participating retail chains.
These Logitech products are available to independents from Ingram Micro.
ALL DRESSED UP FOR DEBAUCHERY
Logitech is offering its retailers a slap-up u2,000 night of drunken Christmas debauchery if they win The Best Dressed Store competition which is being run exclusively with CRN.
To enter the competition, retailers need to participate in the Logitech Enter Cyberspace Xmas promotion, displaying the company's Demoman POS (pictured) from 1 November until the end of December. All you need to do is take pictures of your store and send them into Logitech, at The Old Court House, Ground Floor, 267-273 High St, Dorking, Surrey RH4 1RL by 29 November. The winner's name will be announced in CRN on 16 December.
