Reef fishes for UK resellers

Web software vendor launches partner programme

Software provider Reef has launched a new global business partner programme and is seeking UK resellers.

Set up in 1999, the company previously concentrated on the European arena, and is now looking to recruit at least eight top-level partners and a number of authorised partners in the UK by the end of the year.

Using a 100 per cent channel strategy, Reef specialises in content management software. Its Internetware product provides partners with a development platform to help customers set up portals, websites, intranets and extranets with the opportunity to add value through services and support.

Channel marketing director Deborah Marzhol said: "This partner initiative offers significant revenue streams, free integration services and free training to partners, enabling them to capitalise on Reef's technology to deliver custom solutions and high-margin services to customers."

Aimed at system integrators, web agencies, resellers and consultants, the new scheme is divided into two models: premier partners and authorised partners.

To qualify for premier status, resellers have to undergo an intensive certification process for their sales and pre-sales support staff and must buy a Reef development platform.

"The benefits are greater for premier status because, for the first three projects that a partner undertakes with customers, Reef will provide 10 days of free project management and 15 days of free service support for our partners," said Marzhol.

Authorised partners will have to train pre-sales and sales staff to certification level, and will also receive support from Reef's professional services team for their first project, Marzohl added.
