FSC picks Steljes for EDA range

Firms set to unveil partnership at BETT show at Olympia next week

Audiovisual (AV) distributor Steljes has revealed that it has been appointed exclusive distributor by Fujitsu Siemens Computers for the vendor's new range of Educational Digital Assistants (EDAs).

“We are delighted to have been awarded the exclusive agreement for distributing the Fujitsu Siemens EDA in the UK and will be launching it at the BETT show next week,” said Julian Klein, managing director of Steljes Trade.

“We have been involved in several pilot projects throughout the country which have proven the concept that personalised learning can improve results and motivate children. Mobile learning is fast gaining momentum and represents a significant new revenue opportunity for resellers. The EDA will be available from stock towards the end of January and we expect high demand after showcasing the product at BETT," continued Klein.

The EDAs are easy to integrate with other learning tools such as interactive whiteboards and interactive voting systems, and come preloaded with software that can be used immediately.

Ian Newall, director of commercial and channel business at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, said “Steljes was the clear choice for us to partner with. Their knowledge, reach and leadership within the education market is unrivalled in the industry."

Paul Hoey, head of product marketing for Fujitsu Siemens Computers, added: “The EDA is a ground-breaking development in the education sector because it is one of the first mobile devices developed with specific educational requirements in mind. Teachers and pupils across the country can now use a portable device that is practical, durable and has safety features built in as standard.”
