ATC rules Britannia

Integrator acquires VAR to maximise cross-selling opportunities

System integrator AT Communications Group (ATC) has acquired voice and data VAR Britannia Telecom Group for £3.84m.

Britannia, which has partnerships with Panasonic, Toshiba and Samsung, works predominantly in the North West.

Barclays Bank has provided a £9m acquisition facility to enable the purchase of Britannia. ATC will also assume £2 million of debt following the completion of the acquisition.

Alex Tupman, chief executive of ATC, said: "Britannia fits our strategic acquisition programme extremely well. It has a substantial client base, most of which have long term recurring contracts providing good forward visibility. ATC intends to take advantage of a number of cross-selling opportunities across the Group, focusing on the opportunities from our enhanced portfolio, through Britannia’s strong relationships with leading manufacturers.
