Creaven on bail after court appeal
Former director of Silicon Technologies Europe must report to Belgravia Police Station every day
Company director Dylan Creaven, who has been charged with alleged VAT fraud, has been told he must report to Belgravia Police Station on a daily basis until a trial date is set later this year.
The former director of components distributor Silicon Technologies Europe was granted bail at an application hearing on 17 November at the Old Bailey, under Mr Justice Moses.
A condition of bail was that Creaven must report to the police station every day until his trial, expected to be in October.
Creaven was arrested for an alleged 'missing trader' VAT fraud estimated at £162m following an operation, codenamed Chipstick, run by HM Customs, the Criminal Assets Bureau, Irish police and Irish Revenue Officers of Customs Enforcement.
Creaven has been charged with conspiracy to cheat the revenue under Section 1 (1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977, and money laundering offences under Section 93 C (1) (B) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
