Damovo cuts 100 more jobs
Systems integrator continues reshaping exercise
Systems integrator Damovo has revealed it is to cut a further 100 staff in its latest reshaping exercise.
The move follows the resignation of managing director David McKeigue and earlier job cuts as it evolved from a product supplier into a global service provider. Earlier this year, the Ericsson Enterprise spin-off made 13 redundancies and asked some staff to reapply for jobs (CRN, 16 September).
Joanne James, vice-president marketing and corporate communications at Damovo, said the cuts were not due to a lack of sales.
"Our turnover has risen by 21 per cent and our profit by 68 per cent globally in the past year. But we will have to make 100 more redundancies in the UK because many functions have been centralised," she said.
Keith Humphreys, an analyst at EuroLAN Research, said: "Damovo has done well so far, and because it has only been in existence for a year it is bound to go through changes."
The company confirmed it is interviewing for the position of UK managing director.
