Telindus unveils 2009 services target

Integrator wants to be UK's third-largest services business by 2009

Ambitious integrator Telindus is planning to become the UK’s third-largest services business by 2009.

The integrator, which works with more than 60 vendors in the UK including BT, Juniper and Cisco, is owned by Belgian telco giant Belgacom.

Darrah Richardson, head of marketing and development at Telindus, told CRN that the UK arm of the firm is fairly autonomous.

“We more or less have a free rein in terms of decision-making and strategy,” he said. “We have been expanding the company to become a more traditional networking integrator.

“We are determined to be number three in the UK by 2009 and are well on track to hit our 2006 numbers,” he said. Richardson added that the firm is seeing particular success in the growing Public Finance Initiative market, the public sector and healthcare.

He said Telindus expects to see organic growth of between 33 and 35 per cent in 2006. But he added that the firm would not rule out acquisition as a way of strengthening resources.

“If the right opportunity arose in the UK, then we would make an acquisition,” he said.

Security vendor Cryptocard has recently signed Telindus to its channel programme. Jason Hart, UK chief executive of the vendor, said: “Telindus has a wide customer base across many vertical markets and a strong skills base of network engineers and IT specialists.”
