Avaya signs Azlan for Euro distribution
Communications vendor adds Tech Data-owned networking specialist to distribution stable
Distributor Azlan has inked a deal with Avaya to distribute its communications kit across Europe.
Azlan, the networking specialised arm of Tech Data's UK incarnation Computer 2000, already has distribution agreements with Avaya rivals Cisco and Nortel. A year ago Avaya made its first distribution appointment in four years when it signed Rocom to carry its SME products.
Nimans, MTV Telecom and Westcon distribute the vendor's SME and mid-market offerings in this country with the latter also having exclusive access to its enterprise range. The Azlan agreement will take immediate effect in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with the distributor having access to Avaya's portfolio in its entirety.
Additional countries will be added over the course of this year. Steve Cant, European business development director for Azlan Europe, said: "Higher levels of end user demand, complexity of solutions and growth in the channel community are making more versatile and flexible distribution services essential.”
Thomas Veit, Avaya's director of EMEA Distribution, added: “With its strong reputation and presence right across the European region, Azlan is well-placed to support Avaya’s EMEA business development and future growth plans.”
