Bullet Point targets installations
VAR sets up dedicated team to concentrate on growing market
Audiovisual reseller Bullet Point Presentations has expanded its installations offering with the addition of a new installations team.
Leeds-based Bullet Point has appointed a seven-strong team following a merger with what was HF Electronics, to take on the one-stop-shop role of providing engineering consultancy for customers, remaining third-party contractors and Bullet Point sales staff.
Chris Deeley, Bullet Point’s managing director, said: “We have worked with HF Electronics for four years, and it has always been trustworthy and reliable. It has been behaving as if it was part of our organisation anyway, so it has been a natural progression for both companies.”
Jane Waites, operations director at Bullet Point, told CRN: “Bullet Point doesn’t want to do all installations itself. The vast majority of our installations are done via a third party. We are getting more challenging jobs, so it would be useful to have some of our own people on a job. With the new team we have our own people to manage these third parties.”
Part of Bullet’s strategic plan is to increase its presence in the corporate and public-sector markets.
“The corporate market is the next market to aim for because it’s virtually untouched. Also, most of the benefits that AV can provide will be of great benefit to corporates.,” said Waites.
“Over the next few years, companies will be taking on increasing numbers of graduates that have been used to using interactive technologies which will help drive growth in the corporate AV space,” he added.
Howard Fagelman, co-founder and installation managerat HF Electronics’s said: “It’s an exciting time for us. We are already expanding our range of services to include electrics, networking, data and audio installations, plus the design and engineering of bespoke bracket systems.”
