Dunne helps set the Trend

Anti-virus vendor Trend Micro has appointed a new UK chief as its management reshuffle continues

Anti-virus vendor Trend Micro has appointed a new UK chief as its management reshuffle continues.

Pat Dunne has been appointed UK country manager and becomes the fifth EMEA management appointment in past six months.

“The focus for Trend is to build on the UK success, we hope to continue the growth we have had over the past six months and move our focus up the corporate ladder,” Dunne said.

Dunne has a channel background from more than four years at NetIQ as EMEA channel director.

“We will be assessing our partner set-up. You have to approach a partner and offer a business proposition, and prove to the reseller that it can make money,” he said.

David Ellis, director of e-security at Trend distributor Unipalm, said: “Pat has a strong reputation in the channel. He understands what resellers need and has some good ideas on how to drive business.”
