Raise a toast: Trustmarque claims services division has smashed its growth targets all year
VAR Trustmarque claims its new services division has smashed growth targets and has set up a CIO forum to help steer its development.
In September 2009, the firm announced plans to diversify away from its roots as a large account reseller (LAR) with the launch of its Trustmarque Enterprise and Solutions Group (TESG).
David Marriott-Lodge, services and solutions director at Trustmarque, said the group had exceeded its growth targets by 31 per cent over the past 12 months.
“One of our objectives has been doing what we can to help customers working to a cost-avoidance agenda,” he said.
Of the new CIO Forum, Marriott-Lodge added: “It gives us an insight into what the financial and technical issues affecting our customers over the next 12 to 18 months are likely to be, so we can position our services better.”
Clive Longbottom, service director at analyst Quocirca, said a CIO forum was a good idea in principle. “However, such groups can become stale and self-interested, so Trustmarque will need to rotate the membership on a regular basis to keep it fresh and useful,” he added.
