EuroTel eyes desktop firms
Comms reseller Eurotel has revealed ambitious plans to acquire businesses specialising in desktop services and telecoms after its £44m takeover by Inflexion Private Equity.
The Samsung and Thus reseller was initially taken over in 2005 by venture capitalists Young Associates and has since been busy acquiring businesses in the channel.
In 2006, it purchased IT services firm Northpoint, while this year it added telecoms resellers Multi Link and Advance Group to its portfolio.
Turnover has almost doubled to £35m and Eurotel has confirmed it is currently in negotiations to buy six companies.
Chris Jagusz, chief executive of Eurotel, said: “The new owners are committed to growing the company and the plan is to continue buying. We are ambitious and focused on improving our channel presence.”
Simon Turner, managing partner at Inflexion, said: “Organic growth remains important for us, but acquiring businesses will be a key focus.”
