Centennial launches SAM academy

Resellers and end-users offered training on how to adopt software asset management technology

Software asset management (SAM) vender Centennial Software has launched a SAM Academy which will offer channel partners and end users education on cost savings and risk reductions.

The training initiative will enable Centennial’s partners and customers to understand how to adopt SAM, through courses and tools. These range from subjects such as how to take advantage of different vendors’ volume licensing schemes, through to ISEB accreditation for SAM.

Matt Fisher, vice president for marketing of Centennial, said: “Effective SAM needs a careful mix of people, processes and technology.”

The announcement comes alongside Centennial’s launch of SAM Essentials, which offers guidance for partners and businesses when a adopting a SAM project.

“Witt SAM Essentials, Centennial has broken down the traditional barriers between technology and learning, creating a solution that provides both in order to help organizations ensure that their SAM efforts are effective and drive a significant return on investment,” explained Fisher.
