IBM crowns first UK Speciality partner
IT giant names Barrachd as first UK member of Dynamic Infrastructure Speciality programme
IBM has named Scottish storage reseller Barrachd as the first UK member of its Dynamic Infrastructure Speciality Programme.
To qualify, Barrachd had to go through a lengthy period of accreditation around Business Resilience, one of several subjects partners can specialise in.
The others include Information Infrastructure, Energy Efficiency, and Consolidation and Virtualisation.
Barrachd’s specialist area will, claims IBM, enable the firm to “implement robust solutions for [its customers'] dynamic infrastructure environments”.
Andrew Sime, IBM general business leader for Scotland, said: “The need for IT professionals to build a dynamic infrastructure in order to fully benefit from their datacentre technologies is undeniable.
“Barrachd’s dedication to fuelling the adoption of the dynamic infrastructure model only helps it deliver more powerful, intelligent and secure datacentre solutions to its customers.”
Clark Wilson, managing director of Barrachd, added: “We are committed to the dynamic-infrastructure model which helps us to create value for our customers, whether they define their requirements as short-term productivity gains or long-term transformation projects."
