CSC eyes new blood for UK management team

Capgemini executive Liz Benison set to join rival, ChannelWeb understands

Manhunt: CSC is rumoured to have looked at some high-profile candidates

IT services giant CSC is set to tinker with its UK senior management line-up, with Capgemini big-hitter Liz Benison set to join the firm shortly, ChannelWeb understands.

CSC's hunt for new blood to help lead the UK is understood to have been going on for some weeks, with some high-profile names having been in the frame.

Benison currently serves as global director of operations for Capgemini's financial services business unit, where she oversees the work of about 10,000 people. It is believed she will be joining CSC's UK leadership team in several weeks. Prior to her current role, 20-year IT services veteran Benison served Capgemini as chief operating officer of its UK technology services division.

According to research published last year by TechMarketView, CSC is the UK's eighth-largest IT software and services provider. For the year to 3 April 2009, the company posted UK sales of more than £1.1bn, a rise of about eight per cent on the FY08 figure. Net profit grew more than 70 per cent to £86.6m.

Both Capgemini and CSC declined to comment.
