Revived deal promises progress for Maverick
Maverick Presentation Products, now owned by Computer 2000 (C2000), has rekindled its relationship with vendor Luidia, following the demise of the old Maverick last year.
The two firms have signed a new distribution agreement that will see Maverick take on Luidia’s full range of eBeam interactive products, including the vendor’s flagship portable eBeam system that converts any flat surface into an interactive whiteboard (IWB).
Andi Brabin, UK channel manager at Luidia, told CRN: “When the old Maverick went under, we had a number of offers from other distributors. I did not want to rush into a decision so I looked at all the offers that were on the table. What really interested me about the new Maverick was that it had the back-office support and breadth of being part of a broadliner, but was still able to provide the specialist knowledge that Maverick always had. The worry with taking on a broadliner is that you will get lost among the thousands of vendors they carry. This does not happen with Maverick.”
Jon Sidwick, managing director of Maverick, added: “The eBeam range provides resellers with a way to get into the IWB space without having to invest heavily in a total whiteboard solution. It should also open up the corporate market as the price point is fantastic and people can move the portable system from one room to another very easily.”
