VAR reaches 35,000th sale of CCTV digital video channels across Europe

VAR Controlware Communications is celebrating its 35,000th sale of CCTV digital video channels across Europe.

The IP CCTV specialist reseller supplies transmission, management, recording and video content analysis systems to its customer base, with vendor partners including Verint Systems and Bosch Security Systems.

Helmut Woerner, chief executive of Controlware, said: "Naturally, we are delighted to reach this landmark sales figure. We are extremely proud of this achievement and the role that Controlware has played in transforming the efficiency of CCTV operations for so many businesses."

Bernd Schwefing, chief operating officer of Controlware, added: "Reaching this significant milestone for video channel sales comes on the back of some prestigious projects and these achievements are a testament to the dedication of Controlware, our partners and customers."

According to analyst Frost & Sullivan, the network video management market was worth almost $400m (£279m) in 2007, and is expected to reach $970m by 2011.

David Parcell, EMEA managing director of Verint Systems, also hailed the achievement.
