Prison for Blue collar criminal

Crime doesn't pay, especially if you're an ex-employee of IBM, widely seen as one of the most ethical and upright worldwide corporations.

That became clear last week when James R Green, a former executive of IBM, received a six-year prison sentence for handling more than $20 million-worth of memory cards stolen from the company.

Green was convicted on a number of charges last November, including transporting stolen property across state lines, laundering money and making false statements.

Green did not steal the cards, the actual robbery having been carried out by another IBM employee, Carl McDonald.

McDonald was sentenced to 37 months in jail for federal offences and received another New York State sentence of between three-and-a-half and 10 years in jail.
