Intrinsic appoints first operations director
Integrator signs John Columbine from rival Affiniti to help spearhead growth
Intrinsic Technology has appointed John Columbine as its new operations director.
Columbine joins the integrator from rival Affiniti, where his role included managing projects totalling over £200m a year.
The newly-created role of operations director will mean assuming full responsibility for technical service delivery, introducing and implementing new processes and procedures to streamline project delivery and help to grow the services business, while maintaining existing customer relationships and satisfaction levels.
Intrinsic has achieved growth of 450 per cent in the last five years and is confident of hitting its £50m turnover target within the next three years.
Allan Gauld, managing director of Intrinsic, said: “I am delighted to have someone with John’s calibre assume the helm of our operations to effectively fuse our project management and engineering operations.
“His industry insight and understanding will be invaluable in our efforts to enhance our customer experience and tackle bigger, more complex projects.”
Columbine added: “Intrinsic is a sales led organisation which is key to its impressive growth to date. I realise that my biggest challenge will be to maintain operational agility and flexibility as the company grows and avoid the cumbersome bureaucracy associated with firms of a certain size. But it is a challenge I am looking forward to.”
