Sophos partners get on Board

Vendor launches partner advisory board to encourage reseller feedback

Security vendor Sophos has launched its Partner Advisory Board to strengthen its ties with the channel.

The software vendor claims the Board, which met for the first time last week, will act as a sounding board, allowing VARs to provide feedback on critical Sophos issues such as its channel strategy, and also allow partners to air their views on the IT security industry as a whole.

Stuart Small, UK sales and marketing director at Sophos said: "We set up the Partner Advisory Board because we pride ourselves on our strong partner relationships, as well as the support and assistance we provide to our channel. By establishing open discussion and really listening to our partners, we can ensure our efforts match their needs and enable them to be more successful."

David Simpson, commercial director at VAR Softcat welcomed the board.

“We applaud any vendor that embraces discussion with its channel. The topics
covered at the first meeting of the Partner Advisory Board were pertinent to our business issues and we're confident Sophos understands these and will take on-board the key points raised. This move will set the standard for a better way of working together."
