WStore stresses "business as usual"
Managing director Tony Price labels acquisition a good move for WStore
Price: It is business as usual for WStore
WStore’s managing director Tony Price has stressed it is business as usual for the online reseller after it was bought by Systemax earlier this week.
As revealed on Channelweb this week, Systemax signed a definitive agreement to acquire WStore Europe for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition, which includes the VAR’s operations in France and the UK, is expected to close in the third quarter.
Speaking to CRN, Price said: "There is nothing else that can happen now until the French Monopoly Commission has concluded its findings. This is because the deal has taken place in France.
"It is completely business as usual for WStore, however. What changes there are for the future no one knows as yet."
But Price said the deal was good for WStore.
"Systemax is a large company and this is a positive move," he said.
