PC World Business ready for big push

Firm internally rebrands, but will still trade externally under its three separate brand names

PC World Business (PCWB) is gearing up for an intense business push over the coming months as it sharpens its focus on its three core divisions.

Speaking to CRN, Jerry Roest, recently appointed managing director of the firm (CRN, 11 October), said: “What we are doing is an evolution rather than anything major. Because we own a number of brands such as Equanet and Microwarehouse, we have chosen to call ourselves DSGi Business internally.”

However, Roest said that the firm will still trade externally under the three brand names: PCWB, which will focus on small business through its stores, telesales and some managed accounts; Equanet, focusing on managed accounts; and Mac Warehouse, which will focus on Apple brands.

“In about three to six months’ time we expect to see some real results from these changes,” Roest said.
