Distributor extends deal with Sony to sell more products

Ingram Micro has extended its two-and-a-half-year deal with Sony to include more products.

The distributor sells notebooks, PDAs and desktops from Sony and is now adding digital cameras and camcorders.

Adam Chapman, business manager hardware at Ingram, said: "This will help resellers bundle products. These products are in demand from businesses developing websites."

Martin Thake, purchasing manager at reseller Iansyst, said: "It is a good idea. It makes Ingram more of a one-stop shop."
