Network PC study

Information appliances will succeed as the most dominant hardware, but network computers will fail, according to a study from IDC. About 55.7 million internet-aware consumer devices - enabled handheld devices, gaming consoles and NetTVs - will be sold in 2002, up from three million last year, predicted the study. This represents an annual growth rate of no less than 76 per cent.
