D-Link launches sales initiative
Networking vendor launches first products from Check Point partnership
Networking vendor D-Link has rolled out a new sales incentive to coincide with the first shipments of its NetDefend secured by Check Point security appliances for the SME market.
These are the first products based on the partnership between D-Link and Check Point Software Technologies.
Under the promotion, any authorised D-Link VAR that purchases one of D-Link's qualified NetDefend VPN firewall or gateway products will receive a free NetDefend secured by Check Point DFL-CP310 Unified Threat Management (UTM) device, plus cash credit, through the new D-Link Rewards Card programme.
"This promotion not only provides instant and short-term rewards for our channel partners to buy and sell the NetDefend product line, it also opens up new long-term revenue opportunities for VARs who can offer their customers Check Point's optional advanced remote device management services to enhance network protection, maintenance and cost-effectiveness," claimed Robert Robinson, D-Link's director of business channel sales.
The promotion involves most of D-Link's line of NetDefend security products - the D-Link Rackmount VPN Firewall (DFL-1600), D-Link Desktop VPN Firewall (DFL-800), D-Link Application Security Gateway (DFL-M510), and the new NetDefend secured by Check Point UTM appliances, the D-Link DFL-CPG310 (wireless) and D-Link DFL-CP310 (wired).
