Computacenter helps NHS Trusts see the bigger picture
Corporate VAR giant wins videoconferencing contract covering more than 75 Trusts in the South
Meet me halfway: Computacenter will help NHS Trusts in the South of England make the most of their technology
Computacenter has secured a £1m contract to supply a videoconferencing system to more than 75 NHS Trusts across the south of England.
The deal covers NHS Trusts that are members of three collaborative procurement organisations: Pro-Cure, East of England and South East Coast NHS procurement hubs.
Under the terms of the deal, the trusts will be able to use Computacenter to supply, install and configure new videoconferencing systems. The corporate VAR giant will also offer consultancy, training and support services and carry out assessments of their existing videoconferencing facilities to ensure they are making the best use of their technology.
Gareth Davies, senior category manager at Pro-Cure, said: “The contract ensures trust staff can be confident they are working with a pre-approved supplier that understands their needs and has demonstrated good value for money with reliable videoconferencing.”
Juliet Clark, public sector director at Computacenter, said: “With NHS staff increasingly working in the community, videoconferencing provides an efficient and cost-effective platform for virtual meetings and education sessions. By reducing the need for travel between sites, NHS trusts can free up time and cut travel costs and carbon emissions.”
