Networks First creates vendor manager position

Channel services firm says new role will cement ties with its 15 manufacturer partners

Support service provider Networks First has appointed a vendor manager to help cement ties with its 15 manufacturer partners.

Bill Rhodes, previously Networks First’s strategic account manager, will take on the role to ensure Networks First’s service offerings add value to each vendor, including Cisco, Avaya, Extreme, Mitel and Dell.

Rhodes said: “We need to understand each manufacturer’s current and future technologies in order to equip ourselves with the necessary skills and accreditations.

“Networks First already has extremely strong relationships with many of the leading manufacturers, and it will be my role to build on these partnerships to help maximise revenue for resellers.”

Prior to joining Networks First three years ago, Rhodes worked at distributor Ingram Micro for nine years. At Ingram he was responsible for developing channel business. He was also instrumental in setting up its Networking Services unit.

Peter Titmus, managing director of Networks First, said: “I am excited by our new vendor position and the enthusiasm Bill brings to this role.

“Having someone focusing on each of our vendor relationships and developing services tailored to their needs ensures greater returns for our partners and a first class service for end users.”
