Talari Networks scours Riverbed for partners
WAN virtualisation specialist launches UK partner recruitment drive
Tom Pettigrew: We have a team on the ground and are ready to penetrate the UK market
WAN virtualisation vendor Talari Networks has set its sights on recruiting Riverbed partners to help drive its UK expansion plans forward.
The company specialises in WAN virtualisation that uses Adaptive Private Networking (APN) technology. This allows users to combine multiple sources of cheaper internet connectivity to either supplement or replace more expensive ones.
Talari claims to be the only vendor in the world to offer APN and is now on the hunt for UK channel partners to help market its wares.
Tom Pettigrew, vice president for worldwide sales at Talari, said: “We signed a pan-European agreement with Zycko in May and have a team on the ground in the UK now that can help us build a channel and penetrate the market.”
Pettigrew, who left storage vendor Isilon Systems last November to join Talari, said the company’s technology would be a good fit for VARs with experience of selling Riverbed’s WAN optimisation products.
“Our product kit is well suited to anyone who is already a Riverbed partner, and the value proposition is simple to understand. We are offering customers more bandwidth, but at a lower cost.”
The vendor has a two-tier partner programme in place at the moment, and plans to enhance this with additional levels of certification next year.
Pettigrew added: “We have developed the portal and have an active lead generation programme in place right now. Because we are so early to the market, we also have marketing resources available to help partners get the message out there about us.”
