Informix stays tight-lipped over Harrison?s exit
Mike Harrison, vice president of Northern Europe and UK managing director of Informix, has left the company.
Barbara Stanley, Informix UK marketing director, refused to comment on Harrison?s departure. And she said she was unaware of rumours that headhunters were also looking for a European marketing director for the organisation.
Harrison?s departure follows the appointment of Walter Koenigseder, former head of the database supplier?s German subsidiary, to the position of vice president of Europe on 20 January.
Koenigseder will replace Ken Coulter, who became head of worldwide operations at Informix at the end of last year.
Harrison was also believed to be in the running for the European job. His departure appears to mirror that of two years ago, when he left Oracle after it appointed Luek van den Boog head of Europe.
