Insightful chief hands over role
Sean Dowling stepped down last week as CEO and MD of accountancy software firm Tetra, after running the company for more than 17 years.
Bob Critchlow, former international vice president at document imaging company Frame Technology, will be Dowling's successor.
Dowling has yet to release total control of the company he founded in 1979, as he will still oversee the company's growth in the newly created role of chairman.
A Tetra representative said: 'The company has a strategy to be a global supplier of business management software, and Critchlow has that international experience, so Dowling made the decision to get a different man on board to handle the next phase.' For the year ending May 31 1995, the 220-strong firm, recorded a rise in turnover to #18 million, compared with #13 million in the previous year. Operating profit rose to #2.6 million from #2.5 million over the same period.
