Kent-based Skye IT moves into new offices and plans aggressive growth drive

New beginnings: SkyIT has settled into its new home and is on the lookout for staff

VAR Skye IT has moved into bigger premises as it plans to take on more staff and grow the business.

The firm, which is part of the Skye Group of companies, currently employs 25 staff. It recently moved to its new base at Kings Hill near Maidstone, Kent and is on an aggressive recruitment drive.

Paul Swords, chief executive of Skye IT, said: “We took small offices at Kings Hill last year to dip our toes in the water and have been so impressed with the working environment here that we have decided to expand and open our new flagship offices.

“Initially we will employ 25 staff, some of whom will come from our other offices, but we are already looking to expand and recruit new staff from Kings Hill and the surrounding area. We plan to have between 40 and 45 staff working here within a year.”

The Skye Group was founded in 2004 and consists of Skye IT, Skye Consult, Skye Recruit and Skye Direct. It employs 75 full-time staff and has a turnover of £20m.
