AMD expands Fusion programme

CPU and graphics card vendor adds commercial channel and software partners to the list

AMD is extending the reach of its Fusion programme

AMD is extending the reach of its AMD Fusion Partner Programme to include commercial channel and software partners.

The commercial track will focus on partners that resell OEM solutions and systems to commercial end users. These partners will be divided into three tiers – Elite, Premier or Select.

AMD’s software track covers software companies and developers with technology enablement, resources and marketing support. Again, partners will be divided into three tiers.

In addition, AMD is unveiling a new partner portal designed to cater for the vendor’s broad partner landscape, which offers personalised tools, training and technical resources for partners, tailored to their particular business track. The portal is destined to go live later this month.

David Kenyon, vice president of worldwide channel marketing at AMD, said: “Since the launch of the AMD Fusion Partner Programme in September 2009, I’m pleased to announce that in Q4 2009 we saw an 80 per cent increase in Elite and Premier component partners selling all AMD solutions, and 100 per cent of our Elite component partners hit their revenue targets.

“The success our component partners have seen leaves me confident that as we expand the programme, we’ll also help our commercial partners meet or exceed their business goals with AMD," he added.
