Resellers gain Q-dos points

Vendor BenQ has launched a channel incentive programme today aimed at resellers without dedicated BenQ account managers.
Q-dos is the culmination of three months’ work with performance management firm P&MM and key distribution partners to establish a channel programme that will reward and incentivise unmanaged UK resellers.
Royce Lye, channel marketing manager at BenQ, told CRN: “We realised that our broadline distributors were dealing with a wide range of resellers that we weren’t talking to directly.
“Unmanaged resellers form a critical part of our channel strategy and their contribution will directly affect our success in the UK. We felt it was time for us to give something back to express our appreciation of the effort they are making on our behalf.”
Under Q-dos, resellers will earn points for each BenQ product purchased that can be redeemed on an individual or company basis. There are over 800 reward items, from cinema vouchers to luxury tropical breaks.
“We also want to use this as an opportunity to educate resellers about our product range. For example, a lot of resellers only sell BenQ monitors and are unaware that we produce projectors and digital cameras,” Lye said.
Alison Melhuish, purchase manager at Quad Logic, said: “We buy BenQ products through Computer2000, so this scheme would benefit us. We sell a lot of BenQ monitors so the points scheme is a nice incentive.”
