Intact launches Cisco UCS support drive

Managed service provider unveils Cisco UCS partner resource

Datacentre support: Intact is offering partners acccess to resources to help win UCS deals

Intact Integrated Services has launched a new service aimed at helping Cisco resellers close deals based on the vendor's Unified Computing Systems (UCS) platform.

The managed service provider’s Data Centre Practice provides Cisco partners with access to datacentre pre-sales support, project design and IT infrastructure planning and deployment services.

Tony Butler, chief technology officer at Intact, said the practice would also help partners capitalise on the cost benefits associated with UCS.

He said: "As traditional datacentre operations evolve towards a more virtualised model, organisations are starting to see the clear bottom-line benefits.

"Implemented effectively, Cisco's Unified Computing System approach opens up potentially huge cost savings as virtualised datacentres support a new generation of cloud-based IT services."

Butler added that Cisco resellers that are able to demonstrate skills in cloud, UCS, virtualisation and the datacentre have the best chance of standing out against the competition in the future.

He added: “We are convinced that having access to UCS, virtualisation, datacentre, cloud and security skills will prove an increasingly important differentiator for Cisco resellers, and Intact's new practice is particularly well positioned to support resellers [in this].”
