Computacenter bags M&S deal extension
Corporate reseller on a high following managed services win
Fresh from posting an upbeat trading update, Computacenter has bagged an extension of its IT managed services agreement with Marks & Spencer (M &S).
The new contract will see the corporate reseller assume end-to-end accountability for the delivery of IT services to M&S’s six head office sites.
Computacenter will be responsible for full operation of the retailer's head office and telephony services desks and for supporting its Wintel systems.
The VAR will also take charge of developing virtualised server environments, implementing new head office IT infrastructure to support new point-of-sale systems, and providing ITIL-compatible service desk processes.
Meanwhile, Computacenter’s IT disposal division will provide the retailer with asset recycling and redeployment services.
Amir Klaus, Computacenter’s retail client director for M&S, commented: “The managed services contract provides M&S with a road map for continual improvement and innovation.”
Damone Quigley, head of infrastructure and application services at M&S, added: “The extended new agreement with Computacenter will give us end-to-end availability and accountability for head office IT systems and services.”
