Kaseya walks Bull Terrier through the cloud
Managed services specialist names former hosting provider as first UK cloud programme member
Sit back and relax: On Demand programme allows partners to concentrate on other areas of business, claims Kaseya
Managed service specialist Kaseya has named hosting provider Bull Terrier Systems as the first UK member of its On Demand Partner Programme.
The programme provides partners with reseller access to cloud-based versions of Kaseya’s IT management tools.
Prior to signing up, Oxford-based Bull Terrier had spent four years providing customers with a hosted version of Kaseya’s remote management tools.
Bull Terrier managing director Ian Charles said the transition from hosting provider to reseller was a “natural next step” for his company to take.
He said: “After four years of delivering hosted Kaseya services to our clients, moving to the cloud platform is the natural next step and we expect these new tools to help our customers grow their business immediately.”
Sean O’Connell, director of marketing, EMEA, at Kaseya, said the programme would benefit Bull Terrier because responsibility for the products' technical support would fall on the vendor, leaving the firm free to concentrate on other areas of their business.
He said: “All the support and maintenance for the products will be handled by us, which means partners can concentrate on how to add value to the offerings and building their business around the solutions.”
O’Connell confirmed that Kaseya is on the hunt for additional partners interested in signing up and marketing its cloud products, and cited trade bodies and distributors as ideal candidates.
He said: “We think there is definitely potential for companies like the TCA, Synaxon and members of the distribution channel to join the programme and offer up the services to their members and partners.”
Keith Warburton, president of the TCA, said the association is keen to encourage its members to get on board with the cloud, and that they would be happy to promote Kaseya’s offerings as a way of doing so.
He said: “Kaseya is a well-regarded member of the TCA and we are keen to support them in any initiative that benefits the channel.
“We are aiming to develop a software-as-a-service offering for our members and Kaseya is a leading brand in this area. We look forward to promoting their services as one of our key member benefits.”
