Vars feel Bull's indirect dedication with Ascent

Bull Information Systems has proclaimed its commitment to the indirect channel after launching its Ascent sales and marketing scheme for resellers.

Ascent offers marketing, consultancy, finance, lead generation and training assistance to partners, according to Bull indirect channel manager Richard New. 'Ascent represents Bull's growing commitment to the indirect channel. Free training for our partners' sales staff and pre-sales staff is a vital element. I believe that people are an organisation's most unique asset,' he said.

Resellers fit into four Ascent accreditation tiers depending on their business and training qualifications. The company, which operates a mixed sales channel policy, has introduced Partnerline, a telephone information service similar to its direct salesforce's Businessline operation on 0345 711733.

Lorrie Rodia, operations director at Bull partner FCS Computer Services, said FCS is pleased that Bull is showing faith in the partner channel and offering resellers incentives through Ascent.

'Although Ascent is designed to attract partners, it also updates existing partners' agreements,' Rodia said.

Bull also launched a network management centre last week (See story, Page 20).
