BitDefender partners with Internet Security Systems
Anti-virus vendor to integrate its anti-virus and anti-spyware features into ISS product
Anti-virus vendor BitDefender has partnered with enterprise security vendor Internet Security Systems (ISS) to integrate its anti-virus and anti-spyware features into the ISS Proventia Desktop Endpoint Security product.
BitDefender, which last week announced its first serious push into the UK market (CRN, 20 August), said the partnership will offer ISS end-users a “new layer of security”.
Greg Adams, vice-president of product development at ISS, said: “By integrating BitDefender into our desktop product, we can provide a comprehensive solution for handling known exploits and unidentified malware.”
Jared Hornsby, executive vice-president at ISS VAR Futurecom, said: “The addition of these extra capabilities will increase sales of ISS Proventia Desktop. The concept of having multi-layered security technologies together in one agent will appeal to many customers.”
