VAR Bell is on the right track
Firm scores place in coveted Tech Track 100 table
VAR Bell Microsystems has been named one of the UK’s 100 fastest growing technology companies.
The Tech Track 100 league table ranked the Portsmouth-based Bell Microsystems as the UK’s 68th fastest-growing unquoted technology company by sales growth.
Alastair Bell, managing director of Bell Microsystems, told CRN its turnover grew by £11.9m to £14m over the past three years.
“This is proof we are doing things right and solving customers’ specific business pains in one of three areas: asset management, data centres and storager infrastructures,” he said.
The firm has worked with Transport for London to create a data-management system for the 2012 Olympics.
Bob Tarzey, service director at Quocirca, said the recognition such an accolade brings can be short-lived.
“Often SMEs grow quickly in their early years. The real proof will come from sustained or increased growth over a longer period of time,” he said.
