Printerland scrums down with Lexmark
VAR and vendor team up to promote rugby in schools
James Kight: Lexmark is our most up-and-coming vendor
VAR Printerland is throwing more weight behind its partnership with Lexmark after teaming up with the vendor to promote rugby in schools in its local area.
The reseller has extended its sponsorship of Sale Sharks in a move it claims will net it more than £1m worth of offline exposure for its brand.
At the same time, it has launched a community programme with the Premiership rugby club that is jointly sponsored by vendor partner Lexmark.
James Kight, director at Cheshire-based Printerland, said his firm was Lexmark’s largest UK reseller and that the vendor is also becoming more important to his business.
“Oki is our biggest vendor but Lexmark is our most up-and-coming vendor,” he said. “Our growth with them is phenomenal and we are bringing them into the Sales Sharks sponsorship.”
Under the Printerland Promote Rugby programme, Sale Sharks players will visit schools and junior rugby clubs in the North West region. The most deserving clubs and schools will also receive match tickets and rugby equipment.
Printerland said it expected television coverage for Premiership rugby to more than double next season due to new television contracts with Sky Sports and ESPN.
