Morse names new chief executive

Integrator names new chief executive as demerged Monitise unit debuts on AIM

Morse has appointed Kevin Alcock as its new chief executive, on the same day its demerged unit Monitise made its debut on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

The management reshuffle sees Alcock replace former chief executive Duncan McIntyre who has become executive deputy chairman.

Company secretary Lee Cameron will also step down from the board and will be replaced by Nicholas Sandison with immediate effect.

Alcock said in a statement: "Morse is a leading professional services company with specialist industry sector, consultancy and technology skills. We have a clear strategy for growth and a strong and experienced Board in place to drive the further development of our business as a stand-alone listed business and IT consultancy firm."

According to Morse's web site, the demerger received almost unanimous backing from shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting earlier this week.
