C2000 offers cut-price bundle to SME VARs
Broadliner takes first AV-IT convergence steps
Computer 2000 (C2000) has thrown its hat into the audiovisual (AV)-IT convergence ring with its first product bundle tailored to the space. The broadliner is offering its AV VAR base an exclusive Toshiba notebook and projector bundle for £499.
Darren Sainsbury, AV business manager at C2000, said: “We suggested to Toshiba that it bundled a notebook with a projector and it decided to go for it.
“This is our first AV-IT convergence offering. We have already had a lot of interest. It is only available to C2000’s UK resellers and while e-tailers and direct market resellers can buy it we are aiming it at SME VARs – they get a better price.”
The bundle features a Toshiba Satellite L30 notebook with a S8 DLP projector and is being advertised as a back-to-school offer.
C2000 is not the first distributor to realise the potential of the growing convergence between IT and AV. Maverick launched its Convergent division last year. Kris Davies, Convergent manager, said: “It’s great that more people are recognising the convergence between AV and IT. To have a company the size of C2000 getting into it is good for the market.”
