IPC rebrands after buy-out
Laptop firm to expand channel and broaden product range
Laptop manufacturer IPC is planning to expand its channel after undergoing a successful management buy-out (MBO) from its European parent firm.
The firm has also rebranded to broaden its product focus, and will be known as IPC Multimedia rather than IPC Archtec.
Mike Lockwood, managing director of IPC, told CRN: "[Following the MBO] we are now unrestricted by the priorities of our European owners and can focus on initiatives and products specifically for the UK market."
Richie Nolan, laptop procurement manager at distributor Tait Components, said: "We are delighted that the MBO team is improving the firm. The product range has already increased, especially with the introduction of thin-film transistor monitors."
