Virtensys on prowl for channel partners
I/O vendor seeks resellers in wake of partner programme launch
Virtensys wants to double reseller base over coming year
Input/output (I/O) virtualisation vendor Virtensys is on the hunt for resellers following the launch of its first channel partner programme.
The vendor, which specialises in I/O virtualisation switches, said it has 10 UK resellers on board already and will focus on doubling that figure over the coming year.
Paul Klinkby-Silver, vice president of EMEA at Virtensys, said the firm would be targeting resellers operating in “key verticals” and carrying VMware and Microsoft accreditations.
He explained: “We are committed to a 100 per cent channel-only approach and will be targeting resellers specialising in healthcare, local government and financial vertical markets.”
If its recruitment plans are successful, the vendor plans to expand its operations across Europe “one country at a time".
“Once we get some good traction going in the UK, we will then look to start expanding into other countries in a very focused way,” added Klinkby-Silver.
Stuart Rae, managing director at security specialist Nviron, said his firm entered into a “strategic partnership” with Virtensys last month for the benefit of customers wanting to upgrade to 10GB Ethernet.
He added: “Customers can deploy the Virtensys switches immediately and in a non-disruptive way, allowing them to tackle I/O problems in their datacentres, save money and reduce equipment costs.”
